(coreano: "Aprendizaje oriental) (coreano: "Religión del sendero celestial).

Religión coreana que combina elementos del confucianismo, budismo, taoísmo, chamanismo y catolicismo. Su principio básico de que "hombre y Dios son uno se realiza a través de la fe en la unidad del cuerpo y del espíritu y en la universalidad de Dios. A los conversos se les instruye a meditar sobre Dios, orar al salir y al ingresar al hogar, evitar los malos pensamientos e ir a la iglesia los domingos para adorar a Dios. En 1860, Ch'oe Che-u (n. 1824–m. 1864) fundó este movimiento religioso luego de recibir una inspiración del emperador celestial (Ch'ongju). Sus esfuerzos por lograr cambios sociales hicieron que fuese ejecutado. Su sucesor, Ch'oe Si-hyong, también fue ejecutado después de la rebelión Tonghak. Actualmente, el movimiento Ch'ondogyo tiene unos tres millones de adherentes.
